Description: This is an intensive class designed for high school and college transfer students who plan on applying for admission to college or university art programs and/or art and design schools which require a complete portfolio as part of the application process.
Students will produce art pieces for the portfolio and they will provide individual consultations with students to plan their portfolio strategy and to assist them with productive critiques of their art pieces. Description: For young children who are interested in fashion design There is so much more fun involved in fashion designing than just sewing and making! In this hands-on course, students will enjoy their creativity to explore the fundamental points of fashion designing through making dolls and designing outfits for them. Students will have the opportunity to learn the concepts of digital photography and to combine drawing and 2D animation techniques using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and Macromedia Flash to create their personal art project. This course goes beyond classical forms of art to create bold, new forms using different mediums such as wood, steel, plastics, fabrics, glass, and papers. We will study the works of famous contemporary artists like Robert Rauschenberg and Romare Bearden, who use a wide range of unique materials in their pieces.
